| News Flash... we are using the PimpShack's Ventrillo server for our comms.
IP is vent.venomassassins.com port: 3933
I'm going to leave the TS info below for archive purposes, but we don't use this TS server anymore.
Thanks!

TeamSpeak allows us to communicate before and during games.
A headset with a noise-cancelling mic works the best (you can get one at Walmart for $10-14)
Get the TeamSpeak 2 Client
When you start it up, click on Connection, connect, right-click on Servers and select "add server".
Give the new entry a name, like "VA" and enter this info:
Server Address: ts.venomassassins.com
Nickname: the name you play under in Tribes
click Anonymous
Server Password: venomous
Click connect and see if you do.
The settings you'll want to play with are under Settings --> Sound Input/Output Settings.
The Output Volume is how loud you hear others. Voice activation level should be adjusted so the mic only activates for your voice - not your breathing or game sounds!
You can use the test mode at the bottom of the dialog to test your mic level.
(When it sends it back to you it will sound scratchy, don't worry.)
Remember to deactivate from test mode when you're done.
Also if you are planing to use TS2 with T:V you might want to get TSO.
TeamSpeak Overlay (TSO) is an Application designed to be use with TeamSpeak, that allows players to "see" who is speaking.
With TSO, an addition to your games HUD allows you to see whos talking without having to switch out of the game.
TSO can be downlaoded fromt the TSO home page
